We have a Hybrid role opening for a Master Data Coordinator at our snack factory, Kar's Nuts, in Madison Heights, MI and our treats factory, Sanders Candy, in Clinton Township, MI.
This position will support operations by analyzing and maintaining master data, key data, and master relationship data as well as to manage the MDM process within the organization.
Essential Duties
Ensures master data integrity in key systems as well as maintaining the processes to support data quality.
Create and maintain customer, vendor, item and manufacturing master data in ERP systems.
Identifies areas for data quality improvements and helps to resolve data quality problems by collaborating with subject matter experts (SMEs) and data stewards.
In collaboration with subject matter experts and data stewards, defines and implements data strategy, policies, controls, and programs to ensure the enterprise data is accurate, complete, secure, and reliable
Development and documentation of processes with other functional data owners to support ongoing maintenance and data integrity.
Work closely with the business/IT to ensure alignment of master data rules and the operations of the application meet all requirements.
Knowledge & Experience
Bachelor's Degree in information science, data management, computer science or related field preferred or equivalent combination of education/training and experience.
Depending on education, work experience required (4-6 years) in data analysis or data entry.
Must have strong documentation skills (process documentation, solutions creation, troubleshooting docs, and using applications such as Office, Visio, etc.
Experience working with industry standards, regulations, and guidelines in data management, database warehousing, or other relevant systems.
Experience working with relational databases.
Excellent analytical, mathematical, and creative problem-solving skills.
Excellent listening and interpersonal skills.
Highly self-motivated and directed.
Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks.
Must possess exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with internal customers, peers, and managers via documentation, telephone, and e-mail, etc.
Ability to work well independently as well as the ability to contribute and thrive in a team environment.
