Material Handler/Forklift Operator – Midnight Shift

We have openings for full time Material Handler/Forklift Operators at our factory located at 1200 E. 14 Mile in Madison Heights, Michigan on the midnight shift from 11pm to 7am. Qualified candidates must be willing and able to work overtime on Saturday and Sunday as needed.

The starting pay rate is $18.20 per hour.

As a Material Handler/Forklift Operator, you will primarily be responsible for operating a forklift within the warehouse to support the operations team.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Safely move a variety of materials throughout the warehouse using a stand-up forklift
2. Perform daily PM checks on equipment prior to use.
3. Accurately stage and sort finished goods from production area to shipping
4. Ensure finished products are properly packaged per customer requirements
5. Stage components to manufacturing areas as requested
6. Moving raw material from receiving into accurate racking locations
7. Load and unload trailers with sit-down forklift
8. Transferring inventory using handheld scanner

Requirements

1. 1+ years of successful experience operating a forklift
2. Capable to follow directions and work independently
3. Detailed, with strong time management and organizational skills
4. Comply with all safety requirements;
5. Exhibit skills and attitude which accommodate company policies, principles and processes

Qualifications

1. Must have excellent attendance;
2. 1 year of related experience preferred;
3. Must be available to work weekend overtime as required;
4. Able to bend, stoop, squat, stand, push/pull, walk, and reach;
5. Ability to lift 30 - 50 lbs.
