Where were you born?Bangladesh
How did you come to the United States? My husband and I came to the United States through a DV (Diversity Immigrant Visa) Lottery in June of 1997*. We first lived in New York for a few years but later moved to Michigan in 2000 because my Uncle lived here.
When did you start working at Second Nature Brands? I started working at Kar’s Nuts in December of 2010. I have been here for over 10 years because it is very clean for a manufacturing environment and it’s also nice and cool. I also enjoy the people I work with.
Do you have any favorite traditions or food from your heritage? Yes, I enjoy wearing a traditional Saree on special occasions like family parties or weddings. We also make a lot of traditional food. My favorites to make are chicken roast kabab, beef curry and pulao, ilish fry, golap jam and chanar payesh.
