Melanie Ayles serves as Senior Director of Quality and R&D for Second Nature Brands, where she is responsible for Quality, Food Safety, Regulatory and R&D.
Melanie is a food scientist with nearly 30 years of technical experience with consumer packaged goods companies. She has extensive experience in connecting people, processes, and technologies to support and deliver strategic business goals and objectives. Melanie is skilled at building new product platforms, quality and food safety programs, and is known for leading and influencing cross-functionally and inspiring teams. Before joining Second Nature Brands, she served in various Quality and R&D leadership roles at The J.M. Smucker Company, Sahale Snacks, POP! Gourmet Foods, Hain Food Group, and The Quaker Oats Company.
Melanie holds a Bachelor of Science in Food and Nutritional Science from Seattle Pacific University.
